Founded on the back of the Industrial in 1861, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, known well as only MIT, was formulated to lead the country forward in applied sciences and engineering. MIT is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts -- the city also known as the home of Harvard University. Though, well recognized for its contributions of the physical sciences, MIT has grown to become well respected in the humanities, such as Economics, linguistics and Business management.
